The Kaduna State Safety Council has warned towards blocking of public roads and harassment of harmless residents by individuals conducting protests.
reporter reviews that residents of Gonin Gora axis of the Kaduna-Abuja highway, on Thursday morning, blocked the Kaduna-Abuja highway following an assault by bandits locally, Wednesday night time.
Reacting in an announcement, Samuel Aruwan, Overseeing Commissioner, Ministry of Inside Safety and Residence Affairs, Kaduna State, mentioned the members of the Safety Council, working with safety forces, dismantled the highway blocks erected and subsequently opened up the highway to be used by motorists.
“The members of the Kaduna State Safety Council whereas interacting with group leaders, expressed dissatisfaction with the menace of blocking roads, a state of affairs which infringes on the rights of residents and vacationers utilizing these roads and different public utilities,” the assertion mentioned.
“As of the time of this safety replace, residents and motorists are plying the Gonin Gora axis of Kaduna-Abuja Street with out obstruction.”
Members of the Safety Council embody the Commissioner of Police, Audu Ali, Director of Division of State Companies, Abdul Adamu Eneche, Garrison Commander, One Division Nigerian Military, Brigadier Basic Muhammad Kana, and the Overseeing Commissioner, Ministry of Inside Safety and Residence Affairs, Aruwan.
