Kano gov’t allocates N5b for pension, gratuity

The Kano State government has set aside an additional N5 billion for the disbursement of the second instalment of pension gratuity to retired workers in the state.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf made this announcement Wednesday at the commencement of the state executive council meeting held at Government House, Kano, as stated in a press release by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Previously, the government disbursed N6 billion to settle outstanding payments for thousands of retirees who had not received their entitlements during the eight years of the immediate past administration.
