Prominent preacher and Trinity House senior pastor Pastor Ituah Ighodalo has addressed reports that he plans to wed Kate Henshaw, a well-known Nollywood actress.
According to what we understand, there has been a lot of conjecture on social media regarding his possible second marriage. Some people have even suggested that plans for an Aso Ebi have already begun in anticipation of the purported wedding.
Pastor Ighodalo denied these allegations in a recent and highly publicized interview with media personality Osayuwamen Saleh on UpgradeTV, claiming that he is not aware of any such intentions.
Speaking humorously, the cleric said that the people who are propagating the rumor are probably making money off of it.
He declared, “I adored my wife.” I just live day by day. What is ahead is unknown to me. Well, not as far as I know, about an Aso Ebi coming out. Social media is problematic because users believe they can do anything they want.
It is profitable for whoever is propagating this rumor. After spreading it, they ought to come and pay the tithe.
He is open to the possibility of being married again, the clergyman said, but he made it clear that his love for his late wife is still strong and that her spirit is still very much present in his life.
Ibidunni Ighodalo, a talented event planner and renowned former beauty queen, was Ighodalo’s late wife. She tragically died in June 2020. The couple had adopted a son and a daughter before she passed away.
Parenting his children and focusing on his ministry have been Pastor Ighodalo’s priorities since her death.

In an interview conducted in 2023, Pastor Ighodalo was understood to have stated that although he is open to the possibility of getting married again in the future, he is not in a rush because his children continue to be his top concern. His daughter has severely cautioned him against seeking a new marriage, he added.
I couldn’t say that I would never get married again, but I would be fine if I could. I lead a simple life and am content. I am doing well, and I am taking care of my children. Maybe when my kids are older, I’ll give it some thought. Additionally, the cleric had stated, “My daughter has cautioned me against getting married again.”
