The Lagos State Government has ordered all primary, secondary, and nursery schools in the state to reopen on Monday, September 4, 2023, in preparation for the 2023–2024 academic year.

The resumption is in accordance with the 2023–2024 Harmonized Academic School Calendar, as approved by the Lagos State Ministry of Basic Education, stated Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, Director General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance, during a news conference on Monday in Alausa.

To ensure “the delivery of excellent and sustainable education in Lagos State,” Seriki-Ayeni asked all schools and school owners to strictly adhere to the resumed date.
