The Lagos State Government has stated that it is willing to work with the Polish government to find ways to strengthen the economy and development of both the state and the country as a whole.
When the Polish Ambassador, Joanna Tarnawaska, paid the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a courtesy visit at the RoundHouse, Alausa, Ikeja, on Monday, he made this statement.
According to Sanwo-Olu, the state is prepared to work with the Polish government’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Cooperatives to collaborate with various Polish businesses for the overall development of Lagos State and Nigeria.

The governor was represented by the deputy governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, who welcomed the ambassador and her team on behalf of the governor. The deputy governor expressed the governor’s optimism for the partnership, noting that “there is at the federal level a government that is ready to listen and work on moving the country forward economically and financially and in all sectors of the economy.”

In her remarks, Tarnawaska stated that she hoped to further develop the Republic of Poland’s positive diplomatic relations with Lagos State.
