Liverpool Set to Launch £120M Bid for Alexander Isak from Newcastle

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool is expected to make a £100 million bid in the next few hours to capture Alexander Isak, a striker for Newcastle United. The Swedish international is eager to join the Merseyside team.

Hugo Ekitke, a center forward for Eintracht Frankfurt, has already been signed, but Arne Slot’s team is still looking for more forwards this summer. Liverpool may not have many options in the final third as Bayern Munich is reportedly nearing a £66 million agreement to capture Luis Diaz, according to GIVEMESPORT sources.

With Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong among others who have joined the team, Liverpool isn’t playing around during the summer transfer window. Although Isak has always seemed like the Reds’ ideal target, they won’t have an easy time luring him away from St. James’ Park this summer.

According to a recent claim by Sky Sports, Liverpool is expected to make a £100 million offer in the “coming hours” to capture Isak, a striker for Newcastle. The Swedish forward hopes to join Anfield this summer, and Liverpool is aware that securing his contract may require a price of £120 million plus add-ons. Although Liverpool hopes to sign him for less than £150 million, Newcastle is reportedly seeking that amount.
Despite the Reds have recently signed Hugo Ekitike, Isak, who Alan Shearer has called “world-class,” might walk through the door at Anfield. Slot will benefit from having some flexible alternatives in the final third because Isak and Ekitike might both be used just behind the striker and possibly out wide.

Although Isak’s signing may not be absolutely necessary, given his prior Premier League experience, the Swedish international is as close to a surefire success as possible if Liverpool has the funds.
