In the 59th minute, Phil Foden picked up the ball from a rebound and from the edge of the box he unleashed a low shot into the bottom left corner. Bernd Leno was unable to keep the ball out of the net to make it 0-2 for City.

City made it 0-3 in the 71st minute. Bernardo Silva played the ball into the box, and Josko Gvardiol got on the end of the cross to put it into the bottom right corner for his brace.

The Citizens scored their fourth goal seven minutes into added time from the penalty spot. Julian Alvarez drove the ball low into the right of the net, giving goalkeeper Bernd Leno no chance.
