A 65-year-old man, Olalekan Ogunjobi, has been nabbed by the Ogun State Police Command in connection with the death of a woman found in his apartment.

TheNigerian Metro gathered that the woman, identified as Serifatu Disu, had left her husband’s house to visit Ogunjobi at his apartment in Fatima Castle, Konigba, located in the Ago-Iwoye area of the state.

Although TheNigerian Metro could not confirm the nature of the relationship between Ogunjobi and Disu, the Ogun State Police Command, which confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Thursday, stated that the 60-year-old woman complained of chest pain around 12:40 a.m. on Wednesday and collapsed shortly after stepping out of the room.

The police revealed that despite Ogunjobi’s efforts to administer first aid, Disu lost consciousness and passed away shortly after.

The spokesperson for the command, Chief Superintendent of Police, Omolola Odutola, stated that the Divisional Police Officer of Ago-Iwoye was contacted and promptly arrived at the apartment.
