Men of the Edo State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have arrested a motorist, Lucky Omomeyen, for allegedly running away with an officer after his arrest for violating trafficking rules.
It was gathered that the officer flagged down the suspects Toyota Camry but that instead of stopping, he attempted to hit him with the car and in the process the officer jumped and hung on the bonnet and the suspect drove away with the officer hanging on the bonnet.
The Sector Commander, Paul Okpe, who confirmed the arrest, said the driver committed the offence on April 19, but was arrested six days later.
