Ngige Raises Alarm Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Mental State, Says IPOB Leader Exhibiting Strange Symptoms

Chris Ngige, a former governor of Anambra State, has voiced concern over Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and his mental health.

He claimed that Kanu is displaying strange symptoms and contended that the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) physicians who performed the agitator’s psychiatric assessment were incorrect.

When former presidential candidate Peter Obi paid Ngige a visit to express sympathy for the attack on his convoy, Ngige told reporters about his misgivings.

“In my opinion, Nnamdi Kanu’s case is for a political solution,” he stated. On that, I met with President Buhari. Additionally, Governor Soludo has stated that he wants Kanu delivered to him; nevertheless, they can give him to Britain even if they do not want to release him to us.

The strange symptoms he is displaying are the reason I say this. Even though I’m not a psychiatrist, I can tell that something is off. Even the NMA personnel who went to assess his mental health were in error. They ought to examine that other aspect of it. They ought to examine that additional element. There is mania there, and the court usually releases the defendant in such a case. That’s my opinion. I am a physician, and this is basic psychiatry.
