NiDCOM Rescues Nigerian Actress’s Daughter Trafficked to Mali for Prostitution

Adeola, the daughter of seasoned Yoruba actress Jumoke George, was saved by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) after she was transported to Mali four years prior for prostitution.

The Commission’s chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said on X (formerly Twitter) Monday that the 41-year-old Adeola and other victims had been successfully rescued. She said her family had reported her missing after she left her Ibadan home and traveled to Lagos without telling anybody.

“Astonishing! Adeola, the daughter of well-known actress Jumoke George, has returned home from Mali, where she was trafficked, after four years of not hearing from her.

After the sickly actress bemoaned in a video the calamities that had befallen her, including homelessness, terrible health, crippling debt, and the unexplained loss of her child, the rescue of Adeola became possible.

In a video posted by Abiola Ayomide Adebayo, another Nollywood actress, George begged Nigerians to pray for her, give her money, and help her find her daughter who had gone missing.

“I don’t sleep.” I’m in pain all the time. I owe money. You can view the transactions by using my phone. As you can see, I owe a lot of money,” she had exclaimed.
