Nigeria becoming failed state, says Peter Obi

Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has called on Nigerians to put national interest above partisanship and work together to stop the country’s downward spiral.

Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has advised Nigerians, irrespective of party affiliations, to join hands in tackling the challenges facing the country.

Obi, who lamented that the country is fast becoming a failed state, identified insecurity, poverty, and unemployment as challenges “ruining and ruling” Nigeria.

The Vice-Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general elections said this on his official Twitter handle this morning.

He said, “All Nigerians, irrespective of party and other affiliations, should immediately join hands to tackle the spectre of insecurity, poverty, and unemployment that are now ruling and ruining our dear country. We are fast becoming a failed state.

“We cannot allow the downward spiral to continue. The government should also urgently seek foreign help,” he said on Twitter.

Obi said this amid the attacks on police personnel and formations in the South-East region where he hails from.
