Solomon Dalung, a former Youth and Sports Minister under former President Muhammadu Buhari, has made low performance ratings of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Nigeria has never had it this bad, Dalung bemoaned as he assessed the current state of affairs in the nation.
He pointed to the government’s poor performance in its first two years in office and blamed President Tinubu’s administration for the economic problems that many citizens have experienced as a result of government policies.

The former minister reportedly claimed in an interview with Vanguard that the president had done a poor job and that the impoverished Nigerians would punish him in the next presidential election.

He says President Tinubu’s performance has been less than 10 percent.

Since good governance improves people’s well-being and is measured by transparency, accountability, and justice, I believe that the nation’s progress in this area has been the worst it has been in the last two years.

In the last two years, these three paradigms have vanished from existence. Therefore, if I were to rate the government on the basis of good governance, they have done a poor job. Less than ten percent was their score, Dalung stated.
