Nigeria will deepen collaboration with Zambia — Buhari

Zambian President, Edgar Lungu, has expressed gratitude to Nigeria for what he described as the county’s ”big brother” role in  ECOWAS and the African continent as a whole.

ZAMBIAN’s  Minister of Foreign Affairs, Joseph Malanji, who represented President Lungu, said this when he was received by President Buhari at the Presidential Villa today.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a statement titled ‘President Buhari pledges better collaboration with Zambia.’

According to the statement, Buhari promised that Nigeria and Zambia will deepen their collaboration for the benefit of both countries and Africa.

Adesina quoted the President as saying that “the two countries would explore areas of collaboration for the good of their peoples, and benefit of the African continent.”

The statement also quoted Lungu as advocating stronger bilateral relations and higher momentum for the Joint Commission of Cooperation between the two countries adding that “equity is when strong ones strengthen the weak ones.”
