Nigerian Defence Academy Postpones Screening Test Amid JAMB Exam Rewrites

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has announced the postponement of its screening test for the 77 Regular Course following the decision by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to conduct a fresh round of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a statement released on Thursday night, NDA spokesperson Major Mohammed Maidawa said the rescheduling became necessary to prevent any candidate from being disenfranchised.

“The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) recently announced the rewriting of the UTME by candidates in some parts of the country. In view of this, the NDA wishes to inform the general public and all applicants to the 77 Regular Course that the screening test earlier scheduled for Saturday, 24 May 2025, has been postponed,” Maidawa said.

He emphasized the Academy’s commitment to fairness and equal opportunity in the admissions process.

A new date for the screening test will be announced in due course. Meanwhile, applicants are encouraged to stay informed by visiting the NDA’s official website and social media channels for updates.

The NDA reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the integrity of its selection process and ensuring that every eligible candidate has a fair chance to compete.
