Nigerian politicians have come under fire from Bishop David Abioye, General Overseer of the Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly, for refuting reports of Christian genocide in their nation.
According to reports, there has been a significant discussion about the alleged Christian killing in Nigeria.
More than thirty Christians are slaughtered in Nigeria every day, according to some American lawmakers and religious freedom advocates.
The MPs said that Islamic militants had demolished multiple churches in Nigeria and called for the country to be labeled as a Country of Particular Concern, or CPC.
However, the Federal Government has since refuted the allegations, claiming that no specific religion is the target of Nigeria’s security crisis.
Speaking to the congregation during a sermon, Abioye addressed the issue and asserted that people are “being buried in hundreds.”
He claims that Nigerian politicians are rejecting the assertion because of their “personal interests.”
“Information with facts can’t be thwarted,” he declared. You said there was no genocide as hundreds of people were being buried? What a perverse group of individuals!
“I acknowledge that other people are killed for different reasons in other places, but Christian genocide is blatantly obvious and is slowly spreading to the South.”
“Many so-called leaders in the Southwest and Southeast are asserting that it is untrue for their own personal gain.”
