Mukhail Abiru, the senator representing Lagos-East, advised all Nigerians on Friday to be resilient and pray.

Mr Abiru’s media aide, Enitan Olukotun, stated in his Sallah goodwill message that the Eid-Kabir season is a time of celebration, introspection, compassion, and a renewed commitment to nation-building.

Mr Abiru, who also chairs the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Other Financial Institutions, urged Nigerians to embrace peace, religious tolerance, and unity, particularly in view of ongoing national efforts to address economic and social difficulties.

He stated, “Now, more than ever, we must unite as one people, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation.”

“Let us support our leaders at all levels, especially President Bola Tinubu, as they work tirelessly to build a more prosperous and stable Nigeria.”

The congressman emphasized the value of perseverance and communal responsibility in nation-building.

Mr Abiru stated that while the path to economic recovery would be difficult, unity, hope, and hard work will carry the country through.

As Muslims celebrated Eid-el-Kabir, he asked them to uphold Prophet Ibrahim’s virtues of sacrifice, obedience, and everlasting faith.

According to the lawmaker, this hallowed month should serve as a reminder to the faithful of the everlasting lessons of devotion, humility, and complete obedience to Almighty Allah’s will.

He added, “I felicitate my Muslim brothers and sisters in Lagos East and across the country as we celebrate the blessed occasion of Eid-El-Kabir.”
