Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, spiritual director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria, AMEN, has led a special prayer session for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the imprisoned leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, or IPOB.
The ministry’s Facebook page shared a video of the special prayer session on Friday under the title “I Pray For Our Brother Nnamdi Kanu,” according to reports.
It appears that the clergyman was on camera while leading worship in one of his church services.
In the forty-three minute long video, the ferocious clergyman prayed to God for Kanu’s release.

Nothing is beyond your power. You are an expert in the impossibly difficult. We commit Nnamdi Kanu into your hands; deliver him, deliver him. Lord, please deliver him. Oh Lord, save him for the benefit of your people. Give him your freedom, no ransom. Emancipation. He is released from bondage by the same hand that frees the captives.
Mbaka asked the Lord, “Oh Lord, grant Kanu freedom on behalf of the entire Igbo people.”
Recall that Kanu was taken into custody by the DSS in June 2021 after being forcibly returned to Nigeria from Kenya due to allegations of terrorism.
Due to Kanu’s illegal repatriation from Kenya to Nigeria to face the terrorism accusations, the appellate court also mandated his release. The Supreme Court rejected the government’s petition, and the IPOB leader remained in custody.
