The governor who made this known when he received delegation from Kaura local government area of the state on a solidarity visit to the state government in Kaduna, said no matter what some mischievous people are doing they will not succeed by the grace of God.
El-Rufai, also told the delegation that those instigating violence in the name of religion and ethnicity do not mean well instead breeding and promoting hate and division.
It would be recalled that last week unknown persons destroyed the army battalion foundation laying structure in Kafanchan, laid by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Yusuf Buratai, along side Governor Nasir El-Rufai and other pro peace stakeholders.
However, the Governor said : “We have talked with the Chief of Army Staff. There is no going back on the military barracks project in Southern Kaduna. There is no going back on our quest to ensure the protection of life and property, there is no going back in our resolve to enforce the law in the state. No matter what some mischievous people are doing they will not succeed by the grace of God.
“We will not be deterred in our commitment to protect the lives and properties of all citizens of the state. One life matters to us because we are all humans created by God and we have the constitutional responsibility on our heads. And above all, we all represent one humanity under God.”
El-Rufai who frowned at manipulators of religion further said “Manipulating religion and ethnicity with dangerous narratives will not benefit our people. It has not worked anywhere, instead, it is dangerous and destructive.
“What we need is nothing but the truth. And we will continue to work for peace and solutions to the unfortunate security challenges” the governor maintained.
