No Matter What I Do, They Will Insult Me – Tinubu Says He Has Learnt From Critics

On Wednesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said he has learned from people who taunt him all the time.
The president made this statement at a town hall gathering with political leaders in Benue State, where at least 100 people had recently been killed by armed herdsmen.
“They will insult me no matter what I do. Since I am unable to observe everything, I read the publications and take note of their comments,” Tinubu stated.

“Your political opponents do not want you to succeed,” he stated, addressing Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State. Are you only now becoming aware of that?

He urged leaders in the area to cooperate with one another.

In order to develop a plan for enduring peace, I will want us to immediately establish a leadership council that will convene in Abuja. He declared, “And I am prepared to invest in that peace.”

Additionally, the president instructed Alia to collaborate with all parties involved and take on the role of a father figure to all residents of the state.

He declared that in order to assist in determining a course for peace, a Committee of Elders will be formed, comprising the present governor of Nasarawa State and all previous governors of Benue.

In an attempt to resolve the ongoing farmer-herder conflict, Tinubu also encouraged the governor to grant ranching property.

Tinubu made an appeal to the people of Benue, urging everyone to band together and strive for enduring peace.

In order to achieve stability and reconciliation, he also urged traditional leaders to work closely with the government.

Tinubu told Alia, “Be prepared for insults—that is the yoke of leadership.” Grab your light. Find those leaders and work together to solve problems.
