President Muhammadu Buhari’s inability to complete certain projects in Nigeria before his term ends on May 29 has been defended by the Presidency.

According to an article published Thursday night by Femi Adesina, the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Buhari is finishing his term successfully.

Adesina stated that several projects, including the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway and the Second Niger Bridge, will be completed before the president steps down and hands over power to President-elect Bola Tinubu in the coming weeks.

“The Lagos-Ibadan Motorway is coming,” he wrote. The Second Niger Bridge, among other projects, will be completed before the administration takes office on May 29. A single government cannot complete all of the tasks that must be completed in a country. Nowhere on the planet.

“President Buhari has done his fair share.” He has done very well. And his imprints will be imprinted on the sands of time.”
