Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo State, congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, on the Supreme Court’s decision today validating Adeleke’s victory in the governor’s race for Osun State in 2022.
Obaseki praised the Supreme Court in a statement, calling the decision “a triumph of justice” for honoring the aspirations of the people of Osun State.
He said, “I congratulate my friend and brother, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, on the Supreme Court decision that upheld his victory in the 2022 Osun State Governorship election.
“The decision is a victory for justice. The People’s Supreme Court has once again supported the populace by recognizing the legitimacy of the elections in which the citizens of Osun State overwhelmingly chose Senator Ademola Adeleke, a candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), to serve as their governor.
It is a victory for good, and the residents of Osun State are guaranteed competent leadership from their adored governor.
“With the decision, Osun State will continue to reap the benefits of democracy and is guaranteed of honest and effective governance.”
