Chief Philip Agbese, popularly known as Okanga, appreciated the dance troupe for preserving the cultural essence of the people and using it to honor his grandmother’s memory. “Today is a moment of both mourning and celebration,” he said. “Through the Oluche dancers, we remember not just a beloved grandmother but the strength of our roots and the spirit of our people.”
Guests at the event included dignitaries from across Benue State and beyond, traditional rulers, political associates, and constituents who gathered to support Okanga and his family.
The performance by Oluche Dance Troupe served not only as entertainment but also as a reminder of the enduring power of culture to unite communities and tell the stories of generations past.
