Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has congratulated successor Kayode Fayemi on reaching one year in office.
Fayemi won by 19,345 votes against the Peoples Democratic Party’s Kolapo Olusola Eleka who was second.
He was officially sworn-in as governor for the second time, on the 16th, October 2018, at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, Ado Ekiti.
In what appears to be a cheeky dig, Fayose called out Fayemi over his claims that he owed pensioners during his time in office.
The PDP chieftain made this known via Twitter on Tuesday night.
YE Kayode Fayemi, I wish you well as you celebrate your one year anniversary in office hopefully with ‘visible projects’ that will speak for you tomorrow. Above all YE, I am not eligible to contest Ekiti Guber, so let’s have some peace.
I read without surprise & as usual @kfayemi usual brandishing of figures owed Ekiti workers & retirees by my administration. Without joining issues with him, rather than public service announcement, I enjoin him to pay the workers.Moreso he was “voted” for to do what I couldn’t do
