To guide the party at the local level, the PDP in Adamawa State has selected new leaders for each of the 21 local government districts.
To maintain unity and minimize disagreements, party members came to an agreement to select the executives.
The Adamawa PDP Local Governments Congress Committee Chairman, retired Hon. David Iorhembe, expressed his satisfaction with the exercise’s execution while observing the congress in Yola South, Yola North, and Gerei LGAs on Monday.
“The high attendance and the maturity displayed by our members today have pleased me. Iorhembe claimed that the consensus option had been extremely helpful in bringing the party together and preventing needless conflict.
He said that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s significant accomplishments and visionary leadership have enhanced the state and increased the PDP’s popularity.
In order to ensure the PDP’s win in the 2027 elections, he urged party members to stick with the governor and cooperate.
“With the unity we have demonstrated here today, I am confident we will deliver,” he continued, adding that the PDP is still the party to beat in 2027.
