PDP wins Kaduna South chairmanship rerun

THE candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the rescheduled chairmanship election of Zango-Kataf Local Government Area, France Sani, has been declared winner of the election held last Saturday. While declaring the outcome of the elections at the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission office in Zonkwa Local Government, yesterday, the Returning Officer, Prof. Lawrence Garba, said Francis scored 28,771 votes to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, John Hassan, who polled 19,509 votes. Garba said, “Therefore, Hon. Francis of the PDP, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes, is hereby declared winner of the election and returned elected.”
