The police in South Africa have reportedly arrested three suspects in connection to the murder of Hip-Hop star, Kiernan Forbes, better known as AKA.
The suspects were apprehended in Cape Town on Sunday, according to IOL.
The paper reported that a source close to the enquiry into the ‘Fela in Versace’ crooner’s murder confirmed to it that the men were arrested after being observed.
The source added that suspects who are in police custody will be conveyed to Durban where they are expected to be charged.
However, the police authorities in Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal refused to confirm the arrest.
“It is a KZN case, should we get any information, it will be sent to them. You should contact them for information,” Colonel André Traut, the Western Cape police spokesperson was quoted as saying by The South African.
When contacted, the KZN police spokesperson, Colonel Robert Netshiunda also declined to confirm saying, “We have not received any update on the AKA case.”
AKA and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane were shot dead last month in front of a local restaurant called Wish on Florida, in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal province.
