The Nigeria Police has terminated the service of four constables with the Ebonyi State Command who were allegedly involved in criminal acts such extortion, illegal operations, theft, corruption and absconding from duty.

The dismissed officers were detained while investigation was carried out to unravel their individual alleged crimes.

A constable among the officer was allegedly accused of stealing a motorcycle as the other three officers were allegedly involved in extortion of a sum of#130,000 during one of their illegal operations.

It was gathered that the officers involved were arrested and paraded for identification after the matter was reported to the command.

The Ebonyi state Commissioner of police, Awosola Awotinde, in a statement, stated that the men will be arraigned after been subjected to squarely room trial and dismissal.

He further reviewed that the officer who was allegedly connected to the issue of motorcycle theft has been terminated of his service and expected to face the full wrath of the law.

Mr Awosola also made it known that the dismissed Officers will be charged for criminal offences to the court of law.

It was gathered that the dismissed Officer had just spent less than eight months in the service and were lucky and were not affected by the unfortunate issues of salary delay that is common among newly passed out constable from the college as they were lucky to have started receiving their salaries immediately after passing out.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Loveth Odah expressed his dissatisfied with the conducts of the dismissed constables which he described as unfortunate barely after few months after passing out of the police college
