President-elect Bola Tinubu and his wife, Remi, have arrived in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, for the inauguration ceremony on Monday.
Tinubu will be sworn in today as the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s substantive 16th President.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience were also present, as were businessmen Abdulsamad Rabiu, Femi Otedola, and Aliko Dangote.
Other outgoing ministers from President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration arrived at Eagles Square on Monday morning for the inauguration of President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Journalists, security personnel, and support service providers braved early morning rains to arrive at the venue in the early hours of Monday morning, ahead of the inauguration at 10 a.m.

As of 8.50 a.m., men from the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the paramilitary have begun marching around the square, accompanied by military music.
Prof. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), and Emir of Borgu in Niger State, where Tinubu was bestowed with the traditional title of Jagaba, are also present.
Lawmakers such as Hon. James Faleke, as well as many invited guests such as Senator Binta Masi Garba, arrived at the venue while foreign dignitaries waited.
