Remember how the military regime of General Sani Abacha killed Ken Saro-Wiwa in 1995 after he was prosecuted by a special military tribunal for allegedly planning the killing of Ogoni chiefs during a pro-government gathering?
Nigeria was suspended from the Commonwealth of Nations for over three years as a result of the international outcry over his execution.
