Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said that he does not believe in coincidence over the incident involving a Ukrainian airliner that crashed near Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport with 176 passengers and crew on board.

Iran’s state television reported that all those on board, the majority of whom are Iranians, were killed as the plane crashed near Parand, a suburb southwest of capital Tehran shortly after the takeoff.

Reacting to the incident that happened Wednesday morning, Fani-Kayde stated that the timing of the incident is significant.

The incident happened just hours after Iran launched a retaliatory attack on two US military bases in Iraq.

A Ukrainian Airline jet with 180 passengers has crashed just after it took off in Tehran, Iran. The plane was on its way to Kiev, Ukraine. All 180 lives were lost. What a tragedy. The timing of this sad and terrible event is significant. I don’t believe in coincidences. RIP,” he tweeted.

Also reacting to the Gamboru bomb blast that leftover 30 people dead, Fani-Kayode, who is a staunch critic of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, said it is the result of Islamist terror allegedly inflicted on the people by the ruling government.

Yesterday 30 Nigerians were bombed to death by Boko Haram in Borno state. This was yet another horrific example of the bloodfest that the proponents and supporters of Islamist terror and their enablers, friends, and protectors in the @MBuhari Govt. have inflicted on Nigeria. RIP.
