The post-emergency plenary of the Rivers State House of Assembly, presided over by Speaker Martins Amaewhule, is anticipated to start on Thursday.
It was agreed that the lawmakers will reassemble in the Port Harcourt legislative building’s Conference Hall.
Since arsonists bombed their official chamber at the House of Assembly compound along Moscow Road, the MPs have been meeting temporarily in the conference hall.
This came after President Bola Tinubu’s March 18 suspension of the emergency rule.
In a statement released on Wednesday, President Tinubu asked lawmakers and state governor Siminalayi Fubara to return to their jobs after lifting the suspension.
