Rivers: ‘Fubara Is Not Desperate for Power’ – Ifetayo

Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has been accused by public affairs expert Adeniyi Ifetayo of not being desperate to stay in office after his reinstatement was delayed.
Recall that on September 17, the six-month state of emergency that had been established on the state in March was lifted, and Fubara, his deputy, and members of the State Assembly were reinstated.

Fubara let down his followers who had flocked to the Rivers State Government House anticipating his homecoming, even though the lawmakers immediately resumed plenary.

Ifetayo stated that he does not anticipate Fubara joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) in response to queries during an interview on Channels Television’s “The Morning Brief” show.

“I don’t see that coming,” he remarked. If you look at it, even when he was summoned back, he would have jumped into office right away if he were desperate to keep his position, but it took him 24 to 48 hours to do so.

“And since FCT Minister Nyesom Wike stated that he has forgiven him, let’s make sure that he has done so and has moved on from the past. He might be permitted to run for a second term.
