Ruben Amorim appointed as new head coach of Manchester United

Ruben Amorim has been appointed as Manchester United’s new head coach. The team calls him “one of the most exciting and highly-rated coaches in Europe.”
Erik ten Hag, who was fired on Monday following a dismal start to the season in which United managed just four victories across all competitions, is replaced by Amorim, 39.

Amorim comes from Sporting Lisbon, where he won a championship the previous season and is still undefeated in league play this year.

He was the main choice for United because to his stellar record and tactical skill, and the team was prepared to pay Sporting an £8.3 million release clause to get him.

In order to complete negotiations with Sporting, a United delegation traveled to Lisbon on Monday. Amorim is scheduled to officially begin working at Old Trafford on November 11.

According to a statement from the club, “Rube Amorim has been appointed as the men’s first team’s head coach, subject to work visa requirements.” After completing his duties to his present club, he will join till June 2027 with a one-year club option. On Monday, November 11th, he will join Manchester United.

One of the most dynamic and well-regarded young coaches in European football is Ruben. He has won the Primeira Liga twice with Sporting CP in Portugal, the first of which was the team’s first trophy in 19 years. He is a highly renowned coach and player. Until Ruben joins, Ruud van Nistelrooy will remain in control of the team.
