The N500 billion Produce For Lagos Off-Take Guarantee Fund was put into operation on Wednesday by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in order to guarantee food availability, affordability, and security in the state.

Additionally, Tolu Elemelu, Chairman of Heir Holdings and the Elumelu Foundation, contributed ₦25 billion to the project.
In order to rewire the food chain, unite rural abandon with urban demand, and reward all stakeholders in the food systems value chain, Bisola Olusanya, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, said the event marks the “launch of a bold history-shaping intervention.”
