The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) established a committee on Sunday to make sure the National Convention and National Executive Council meeting go well.
During a Sunday emergency meeting of governors and former governors in Abuja, the party established the seven-member committee.
The committee, which is led by former Senate President Bukola Saraki, has been tasked with making sure that there is no animosity of any kind during the May 27 NEC meeting.
Saraki responded to the news by stating that the impromptu meeting’s discussions were productive.

He added that the current and former PDP governors discussed the party’s problems and potential fixes.
Sataki claims that the group was established in order to steer the PDP in a different direction.
“My humble self is in charge of the committee, and I would enjoy working with my brothers, who are the governors of Zamfara, Plateau, and Enugu States, respectively: HE Dauda Lawal, HE Caleb Muftwang, and HE Peter Mba.
Sen. Seriake Dickson, Sen. Ibrahim Dankwambo, and Chief Okezie Ikpeazu, the former governor of Abia State, are among the other members, Saraki wrote on X.
Additionally, he pledged his complete dedication to completing the work assigned to him and the other committee members.
“We intend to give the task we were given our best effort,” he continued.
