Popular Islamic cleric Sheik Ahmad Gumi has met with the gunmen believed to be abductors of staff and students of Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State.
The school was attacked on Tuesday night. One student was killed in the process.

Sources told Daily Trust that Gumi met with armed men on Thursday night between Tegina in Niger State and Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State.
Earlier in the month, the cleric had met with gunmen across forests in Zamfara State, appealing to them to drop their arms.
