Senator Ireti Kingibe Leaves Labour Party, Joins ADC

Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the Senate, has officially defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to reports, the legislator would formally register with the opposition party at the ADC national offices in Wuse, Abuja, on Thursday, which is today.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Kennedy Mbele, the senator’s media assistant, verified this.

According to him, Kingibe left the Labour Party (LP) and joined the ADC as a result of the action.

According to the announcement, party sympathizers, media representatives, ADC candidates running in the FCT area council elections on February 21, and top party officials would all be present at the registration ceremony.

Mbele stated, “Kingibe is the only sitting senator in the new but vibrant opposition party thanks to her audacious decision to join the ADC.”
