At the World Food Prize Foundation’s Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue in Des Moines, Iowa, USA, on Tuesday, Vice President of Nigeria Kashim Shettima will meet with President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwumi Adesina.
On Monday, October 24, 2023, Vice President Shettima will give the keynote address at the event’s plenary session. This announcement was made by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Communications, Office of the Vice President.

Later, during the African Agriculture Dialogue on Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones, he will take part in a side event. He will have a fireside conversation with the president of the AfDB on Thursday, October 26.
To discuss cutting-edge problems pertaining to global food security and nutrition, people from more than 65 nations come together for the Borlaug Dialogue. The theme for this year is “A Global Action Agenda for Transforming Food Systems.”
Using the occasion, Vice President Shettima will highlight Nigeria’s robust agricultural sector potential and urge support in realizing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directives and initiatives for the country’s agro-food industry.
After the ceremony, he is scheduled to meet with important investors and stakeholders across the country.
