Veteran Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy, has lambasted the immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, over his recent statement that Muslims should dominate political hierarchy but be fair to Christians.
Recall that the former governor in a viral video claimed that his decision of a Muslim-Muslim governorship ticket in the state was for the interest of the general public.
His comments stirred controversy with many especially Christians leaders, condemning him.
Reacting via his Twitter handle on Thursday, Charly Boy lambasted Nasir El-Rufai for “pretending” that he desires the progress of Nigeria whilst fuelling religious chasm.
He said the former FCT minister was not a “true Muslim.”
The ‘Nwata Miss’ crooner described El-Rufai as “an expired drug bad for the unity of this country.”
He wrote, “This small micro chip of a man called El Rufi.
“No need to go on pretending that you desire the progress of ur country Nigeria that you have so stolen from.
“It is silly to go on pretending that you’re even a true Muslim.
“You’re an expired drug bad for the unity of this country.”
