His Excellency Anderson Madubike, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Australia, stated once again on Saturday that the Super Falcons have provided himself, officials of the Nigeria High Commission, and indeed all members of the Nigerian community in Australia with huge bragging rights with their victory over the Matildas on Thursday evening. Madubike made this statement in reference to the Super Falcons’ victory over the Matildas.
“I can assure you that my wife and I are over the moon with joy. Now, wherever we go in Australia, we do so with a lively spring in our step. This applies to the entire country. According to what Madubike said in Brisbane, “the Super Falcons have made us proud, and we want them to continue winning.”
The seasoned diplomat, who along with his mission staff have worked diligently to mobilize Nigerians across the vast territory that is Australia to support and encourage the Super Falcons since they arrived for the tournament, made these remarks while hosting some board members and Management staff of the NFF at a location in Brisbane that is known as “Little Lagos.” The Super Falcons are competing in the 2015 AFC Women’s African Cup of Nations, which will take place from June 5 to June 15.

“What we have been doing for the team is nothing special; these are the things that any mission ought to do for a Nigerian team wherever they may be.” “What we have been doing for the team is nothing special.” On the other hand, the fact that our limited efforts have not been in vain fills us with elation. According to Madubike, who has also served in South Africa and China in the past, “The Super Falcons are making us happy, and we believe they can go all the way.”
In his response, the First Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu, thanked the High Commissioner and his officials for being available to the team and going to great lengths to support and encourage Nigeria’s campaign at the finals.
