Senior Adviser to the President of the Dangote Group, Fatima Wali-Abdurrahman, has stated that Dangote Industries Limited is collaborating with important economic players to expand Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) throughout Nigeria.

Speaking during the Dangote Special Day at the 2025 Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition in Lafia, she stated that the company’s involvement and collaboration with the Nasarawa State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI) will aid in raising awareness and growing small businesses.

Hon. Dr. Shuaibu Abdullahi, the company’s National Assembly Liaison Lead, represented the Senior Adviser, who stated that Dangote Group will keep collaborating with the public and private sectors to support small business development.

According to her, the Aliko Dangote Foundation and the Bank of Industry (BoI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and created a N5 billion fund to support micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) throughout Nigeria, in keeping with the theme of this year’s Trade Fair.

By offering financial assistance to business owners involved in the production, agro-processing, and retailing of products manufactured entirely in Nigeria, this program sought to directly create at least one million employment.
“The MoU benefited micro-enterprises, including market women and artisan groups, poultry farmers, aluminum artisans, calabash carving groups, small traders, cattle rearing groups, vegetable sellers, and cassava processors,” she continued.

She stated that the company had offered electrification help to Jakura Marble Industry Ltd (JMIL) as part of its assistance to MSMEs in Nigeria.

According to her, Dangote Fertilizer Limited has launched a comprehensive training program aimed at more than one million farmers nationwide, in keeping with the company’s dedication to promoting small enterprises, agriculture, and job development in Nigeria.

A key component of our agricultural extension services, this program includes soil sample collection, field demonstrations, result demonstrations, and spot demonstrations.

“In order to increase crop yields and advance sustainable farming methods, the training is intended to teach farmers the best strategies for applying fertilizer. By offering practical demonstrations and soil analysis, we aim to equip farmers with the information and resources they need to raise their incomes and productivity.

“Our commitment to promoting agricultural development and economic growth in Nigeria is demonstrated by this program.”

She claims that there are many ways in which the business supports “Fostering Economic Development Through Mineral and Agricultural Cottage Industrialization.”

Additionally, I would want to let this distinguished audience know that one of the main ways we support the expansion of trade and small companies throughout Nigeria is by sponsoring a number of trade fairs, such as this one hosted by the Nigerian Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI).

In order to assist the country’s economic development, we are supporting this Trade Fair in order to give micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) a platform to exhibit their goods, connect with possible partners, and reach markets.

In light of this, our organization is joining NASSI and NACCIMA in urging stakeholders in the public and commercial sectors to give MSMES in Nigeria top priority. In Nigeria, this is essential to our industrialization endeavor.

This includes Dangote Fertilser Limited (DFL), Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited (DPAN), Dangote SinoTruck, Dangote Sugar Refinery (DSR), Dangote Salt (NASCON), and Dangote Cement Plc, among other Strategic Business Units within the Dangote Group, she said.
