Former chief of staff of the Nigerian Army and current ambassador to the Benin Republic, Tukur Buratai, has urged Nigerians to unite behind President Bola Tinubu in order to actualize his Renewed Hope program.
Buratai made the appeal in an address on Friday in Abuja in response to the Supreme Court’s decision upholding Tinubu’s election as the legitimate winner of the presidential election on February 25.
He claimed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party had their cases rejected by the apex court, which marked a significant development in favor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu.
He claims that the verdict makes it very evident that the court thought the APC and President Tinubu’s arguments had substance.
“Under President Tinubu’s leadership, the decision could have a substantial impact on future policies and governance, thereby changing the political landscape.”
“All Nigerians, especially politicians, should kindly accept the Supreme Court’s ruling and show their support for President Tinubu,” I am pleading with them.
“Our unity behind our elected leader is essential for the stability and advancement of our country.
“We can all work together to improve our country by putting aside our personal and political differences,” he said.
