The PDP is reportedly in the intensive care unit (ICU) right now, according to Gabriel Suswam, the former governor of Benue State.
A leadership battle between the nation’s major opposition party over the National Secretary’s post has reportedly been going on.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Suswam emphasized that many PDP members no longer trust Umar Damagum as the party’s interim national chairman, claiming that he has failed.
Damagum was chastised by the former governor for his agreement with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“Let’s be honest, the party’s acting chairman has let us down,” he remarked.
When asked what he would have done if he had been given the chance, Suswam responded, “I would have done far better because I wouldn’t engage in an agreement with the Minister of the FCT and end up breaking it.”
“I will consult with stakeholders before engaging in an agreement. People have survived the intensive care unit, where the party is currently located. If the proper action is taken, which I doubt, I think so. The majority of people doubt the party’s leadership these days.
