<p>The suspect, identified as 50-year-old Kellu Abba, was reportedly arrested around 8am on Wednesday.</p>
<p>The woman was intercepted allegedly carrying supplies to a suspected terrorist, security sources quoted by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region.</p>
<p>Sources said Abba is a Kanuri woman living in the Lawanti area of Baga town.</p>
<p>She was reportedly delivering supplies to her son, Modu Mustapha, who is a suspected terrorist operating in the general area of Dumba.</p>
<p>“The sources said the suspect, a Kanuri woman resident in Lawanti area of Baga town, was intercepted while allegedly conveying supplies to her son, identified as Modu Mustapha, a suspected terrorist operating within the Dumba general area,” Makama said.</p>
<p>The reports added that the suspect was also found with four ready-to-use supplementary food packs, two hijabs and one wristwatch.</p>

<p>The suspect is reported to be in the hands of the 196 Amphibious Battalion for further questioning.</p>

<p>The report said the security situation in the whole theatre was calm but unpredictable. It also said morale and fighting efficiency of troops remained satisfactory.</p>
