According to reports, Adeboye told the incident at the annual Special Holy Ghost Service, themed “Joy Unspeakable,” and ascribed his survival to God’s favor.
Pastor Adeboye, who turned 83 recently, described how he became severely ill at one of the church’s annual “Let’s Go A-Fishing” evangelism activities in Ilesha and was unable to return to the camp by road.

The cleric thanked God for preserving his life.
He stated, “Seven years ago, during this identical program, my body absolutely broke down owing to the horrible road conditions. For the first time in my life, I spent Christmas day in bed. The devil was convinced he had finally caught me. I collapsed at Ilesha, so we had to rent a helicopter to get me back to the camp. I was too weak to travel by road; otherwise, I would not have survived.

“However, as I was ready to be flown, local miscreants (area lads) attempted to stop the helicopter from taking off.

“They clung on the chopper, causing one of the glass to tear. But, by God’s grace, I made it to camp. I was confident that if I could only go to the camp, I would recover. I’m still here, seven years later! I want you to thank God for saving my life. Praise Him for me—give Him glory, honor, and devotion!”

Prophet Ebuka Obi of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach has distanced himself from a woman who recently testified in his church, claiming she purchased a house worth ₦500 million.

In a viral video which started circulating on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, the cleric denied any personal connection to the woman and accused her of lying against God and the church’s altar.

His statement follows revelations that the woman allegedly fabricated her testimony, stirring controversy online.

Addressing the situation, Obi clarified that he has no prior relationship with her, explaining that, like many others, she simply came forward to share what was presumed to be a personal testimony.

<amp-video-iframe src="https://360playvid.info/slidepleer/videoIframe.html?fn=s1184s" width="16" height="9" layout="responsive" dock="#pv-dock-slot" style=" overflow: visible !important;"> </amp-video-iframe>

He said, “I said it last month that my name would be all over the media. I said the media would be shaking, making it look real, but it’s all fake.

“I heard from clergymen in the East that bloggers were sponsored. Now, do I know her? Does any member know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others who come here daily.

“If the house she claimed to own is fake, then it is her who lied before God and His altar — not the ministry.”

Popular Nigerian Pastor Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy Church and convener of the NSPPD prayer platform, has come under fire after Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo’s, testimony during a church service.

In a viral video that started trending on Sunday, Governor Okpebholo expressed gratitude to God for his victory in the Edo State governorship election, attributing his success to divine intervention.

During the testimony, the person moderating the session said that God often uses “foolish things” to prove His sovereignty.

The event sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians accusing Pastor Jerry Eze of desecrating the pulpit and enabling what they view as a mockery of God.

<amp-video-iframe src="https://360playvid.info/slidepleer/videoIframe.html?fn=s1184s" width="16" height="9" layout="responsive" dock="#pv-dock-slot" style=" overflow: visible !important;"> </amp-video-iframe>

Ose Anenih, son of former Minister of Works Tony Anenih, criticized the pastor for celebrating what he called societal perversions, writing on X (formerly Twitter) with the username #ose-anenih, said, “God will not be mocked,
#RealJerryEze

“There was a time when mighty men of God would speak truth to power. Today, pastors used their putrefying platforms to celebrate society’s perversions.

“A rigged election is what your god is using to prove his divinity? God will not be mocked, Pastor Jerry.”

Peaceful Revolution who tweets anonymously as #buhilz56 questioned the appropriateness of the testimony, writing, “#RealJerryEze this is not supposed to be ooo. On your pulpit we are having such testimonies from what is a common knowledge of what happened in Edo State.

“When I say there are specific pastors I can never listen to, they would claim pride and that used to affect me until sometimes in the past. I no longer bother anyway, I listen to very preachers these days because I know many others are mere hustlers trying to survive, Adewale who identifies as #Wale_A3 stated.

Chuks. E who writes as #messersEze lamented the reaction of the congregation, saying, “Imagine the congregation shouting at the top of their voices in celebration for this. For them, this God is so good. It is okay o. We deserve what has befallen us as a people.”

Akongwale Patrick, who tweets as #unimagbebia, pointed to concerns about the commercialization of Christianity and wrote, “When would Christianity learn from Islam? Islam don’t close her doors to them but they don’t give them room to rinse their sins & ascribe their sham victories to Allah. Christianity as practiced in Nigeria, can’t take her eyes off money.

£ who writes as #goodthangs_ defended Pastor Jerry noting that he cannot control who comes forward to testify saying, “Pastor Jerry did not tell the rigged in governor to come out n testify. he came out by himself. who is Pastor Jerry not to allow him? this is the same nonsense betta edu did. it’s irritating, but what can PJ do?”

Therim Tanko, who identifies as #TherimT56364 said, “If God does not want him to be there, no amount of rigging will put him there. Go and read the Bible very carefully. God does not think like a man!.”

Foreigner who tweets annonymously as #SmartSyn said, “What would you rather have them do, pursue him from their premises, in this lawless Nigeria so they would use the state power on his church. He did what he has to do, in the end, na God get judgement.”

Mekus (èkún) who tweets as #coly_emeks wrote, “But what should he have done ? Banish him from the church because he’s a politician ? The church is for God and not Pastor J. Nigerians are too spontaneous in reactions.”

Daprofet who identifies as #FYNEGUY2010 added, “a rigged election is subjective. You were an interested party in the election. Hence, your bias could inform this submission.”
