The projected defection of Governor Agbu Kefas from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) has received strong endorsement from the Taraba State Unity, Progressive and Reconciliation Forum.
The forum called the governor’s decision a “welcome development” in a statement released on Wednesday, pointing out that his decision to join the APC shows his ongoing dedication to Taraba State’s development and well-being.
“We applaud His Excellency’s choice to join the APC as a move that will further our wonderful state’s advancement and development. The statement said, “Our party would greatly benefit from the governor’s leadership and experience.
The forum, which was jointly signed by its secretary, Sani Tulu, and chairman, Ibrahim Waziri, urged Governor Kefas to join the APC without any restrictions that would compromise the party’s ideals.
It gave him the assurance that party members would work together to promote the state’s expansion and advancement.
The statement went on, “We want to reassure the governor that he will be welcomed with open arms and given the necessary support to contribute meaningfully to the APC’s mission of building a better Taraba State.”
The group also urged APC members in Taraba to extend a hearty welcome to the governor and his supporters, stressing that cooperation and unity are essential to building a more powerful and wealthy state.
The Taraba State Unity, Progressive and Reconciliation Forum reaffirms that it is prepared to collaborate with the governor and the APC leadership in order to achieve common aims and objectives. The forum declared, “We are confident that this development will usher in a new era of progress and development in Taraba State.”
