Reports that Kogi State’s immediate former governor, Yahaya Bello, might run against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election have been denied.
It states that in a statement released on Friday, Ohiare Michael, Director of the Yahaya Bello Media Office, called the campaign poster in circulation “false, misleading, and the work of bad actors who wanted to bring down the former Governor at all costs.”
Reiterating his unwavering devotion to Tinubu’s reelection in 2027, Yahaya Bello reiterated that he had no aspirations to become CEO.
“Despite the global challenges, the President has done exceptionally well for Nigeria,” he said.
“Our attention has been drawn to another senseless post by mischief makers, who have no other job than to fabricate falsehood and disseminate it to mislead unsuspecting Nigerians,” the message partially reads.
“They have made incredible efforts in their “bring him down at all means” agenda against His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the immediate former governor of Kogi State, but they have always failed miserably.
“This is not the first time that critics and fellow travelers have used outright lies to undermine our President, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by pitting the former governor against him. The recent trend of publishing a 2022 surge and implying that it is simply taking place, however, suggests nothing but madness.
Nigerians ought to be cautious of naive bloggers who fabricate articles without any consideration in order to appease their equally naive employers.
The dates for 2022 were prominently displayed on the banners, but they forgot them in their hasty attempt to fabricate a crisis where none exists. They expect normal people, however, to not perceive this as the product of irate critics.

Although we firmly declare that our Principal, His Excellency former Governor Yahaya Bello, has no aspirations to become president in 2027, we also wish to emphasize his unwavering dedication to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection in that year.
“Indeces are not deceivable. Global issues notwithstanding, the President and his team have performed exceptionally effectively for the nation. He is deserving of the goodwill of Nigerians based on his merits.
“The naughty post suggesting a new presidential support rally should be ignored by Nigerians as it is absurd and the product of a dimwitted, bewildered mind.”
