Tinubu appoints Pam Botmang as Plateau representative at Federal Character Commission

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed former Plateau State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Pam Botmang, as a Federal Commissioner to represent the state on the board of the Federal Character Commission.

Until his appointment, Hon. Botmang was the Director of Communication and Public Relations of the Tinubu Initiative for National Transformation (TINT).
Botmang, who is the son of former Deputy Governor of the state, late Sir Michael Botmang, was the running mate to Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state, which was won by incumbent Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.

As top politicians and supporters have continued to congratulate Botmang on his appointment, the Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and leader of the APC in the state, Simon Bako Lalong, has also congratulated him on the appointment.
In a congratulatory message on Tuesday, Lalong said the appointment of Botmang is well deserved and suitable because of his vast experience in the public and private sectors, where he performed creditably.
Senator Lalong noted that Botmang, who served as his Commissioner during his tenure as governor, has proven his capacity to manage human and material resources effectively by carrying out many infrastructural projects that are visible across the state.
