In response to the tragic event that took place in the Tudun Biri village in Kaduna state and resulted in the deaths of innocent individuals, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has conveyed his sincere regret.
To determine the true cause of the incident, which he labeled a “operational error,” the President also demanded a “thorough investigation.”
Dr. Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defense, was cited by Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, Director of Defense Information, as the President’s representative.
In order to show support and understanding during this difficult period, the group reportedly met with religious leaders, Kaduna State security committee members, and Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Balarabe.
“His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, has swiftly dispatched a high-level delegation to convey heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Kaduna state in response to the regrettable incident at Tudun Biri community in Kaduna state,” the statement states.
“Need for a thorough investigation to determine the facts surrounding the incident” was stressed by the President.
“Findings would be transparently communicated, reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to preventing future occurrences,” he promised the populace.

The President urged calm, cooperation, and unwavering support for Nigeria’s Armed Forces.
In addition, Tinubu prayed for the deceased’s souls and wished the wounded a quick recovery.
He stressed that the event was a “operational error deeply regretted by the Armed Forces of Nigeria, which remains unwavering in its mandate to secure every part of the country” and asked religious leaders to educate their followers.
Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, the deputy governor of Kaduna, responded by thanking President Tinubu for the timely delegation visit.
She emphasized the state government’s ongoing efforts to keep the impacted community and religious leaders informed in order to reduce tensions and preserve peace.
In order to send their well wishes to the injured, the group also went to the Kaduna Nursing Home. Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff; General Christopher Gwabin Musa, Chief of Defense Staff; and Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defense, were among the notable guests in the delegation.
